The squirrel was carved due to the amount of resident squirrels within the park grounds. If you walk through the park in Autumn, you may notice pings and cracks throughout which are the sounds of acorns falling on the vintage cottage tin roofs, a beautiful auditory reminder of the presence of many squirrels.

The Eagle

2022

Park and cottage owner lore is that Roscoe carved this Eagle which stands over 10 feet tall over two days while climbing and stretching over scaffolding, working through and enduring back pain; a testament to his commitment to the community and his art.

Roscoe carved the Eagle due to the large-sized stump of what remained from the felled Oak. Black spots can be seen sporadically located on this sculpture signifying metal likely from nails and other materials left in the tree's trunk.
